Hello! I’m Matthew Crawford and I’m so excited to finally share the project I’ve been working on for the past year!
I created Dirty Merch because I firmly believe this marketplace will help adult creators and fans connect in a lucrative and secure way that has never existed before. Let me tell you about myself and why I’m starting this project, a first of its kind, that will have copycats quickly. What will set us apart from the clones to follow? Dirty Merch is for creators by a creator.
In 2016, I moved from Ohio to L.A. to pursue being a creator full-time. I didn’t know how difficult it would be to secure a consistent income as brand deals would come in dribs and drabs. I know creators of all sizes that have gone through, and are still going through, the same struggle.
It wasn’t until 2020, when I launched my OnlyFans, that I now feel financial security. Because of the brand I built on other social platforms I was able to climb to the top .03% of all creators in the first month of launching on OnlyFans by promoting the launch on those platforms. However, those platforms are not guaranteed as I quickly found out.
Until mid-December of this year, I lost access to my primary social media account for two months. That was a blow to my ability to promote my OnlyFans. I was scared about the growth and retention of my account, which is now my livelihood. I channeled that fear into productivity and got Dirty Merch over the finish line. I had been working on Dirty Merch since December 2020, but it was this recent experience that really pushed me to get the site up so creators have another platform that will bring them income. I do not want my fellow creators to ever have to worry about losing their livelihood like I did.
Dirty Merch is designed for creators who are being constantly kicked off platforms or having their content limited. We are valid and we deserve the ability to connect with our fans.
